Happy Pride Month, Omaha! Here are a few events to add to your calendars this summer.
First, we’d like to start off by saying that this is an incomplete list. It’s impossible to gather every single Pride event (which is a good problem to have!) If we’re missing anything, please feel free to comment or message us, so folks can explore more LGBTQIA-affirming events in the area!
Secondly, this space is meant to be a safe and engaging platform for all Omaha residents and visitors, and hate will not be tolerated.
JUNE 10: PARTY & PRIDE MARKET | 6-9 p.m. at Dry Spokes
Join Sober Socials Omaha, Queer Gear, and Dry Spokes for a queer stoplight party and Pride market featuring music by a queer DJ! Meet up with fellow queer people for friendship, community, and fun–you may even find a date for Pride! And stop by the Pride market with all-queer vendors to snag some Pride merch!
JUNE 17: PRIDE BAR CRAWL | Starts at 4 p.m. at Flixx Lounge!
Drink specials, drag shows, and all kinds of LGBTQ+ fun across the city's bars! Tickets include 1-2 complimentary drinks or shots, free cover to drag show, exclusive drink specials, food specials, waived cover at all venues, professional photographers, an after party, crawl map, and custom Pride badges with vouchers!
JUNE 25: MIDTOWN PRIDE RIDE| 9-11 a.m. at Miller’s Landing
Saddle up with Trek Omaha to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community! Everyone is welcome on this casual cruise — so bring your family, coworkers, neighbors, and friends. Plus, organizers be handing out lots of tasty snacks, drinks, and free goodies for you and your bike!
JUNE 25: PRIDE PAWTY |1-5 pm at Omaha Dog Bar
Celebrate Pride with a Vendor Village, DJ, selfie station, airbrush face painter, temporary tattoos, giveaways, food & drink specials, and a pup parade down 13th street!
21+ humans are welcome and FREE! This is not a ticketed event. If you're bringing a dog, please make sure you have created an account in the Dog Bar's portal and uploaded their vax records. Normal day pass rates apply for your pup(s).
JULY 9: PRIDE BRUNCH 11 & 2 p.m. at Barrell & Vine
Join in on the fun of Omaha Drag Brunch with special guests Sharaya Diamond & Karma Kills! Shows start at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Seating starts at 10:30 & 1:30.
JULY 15: HEARTLAND PRIDE FESTIVAL | Noon at CHI Health Center
Come show your Pride and Love Out Loud at the 2023 Heartland Pride Festival!
This year’s Pride Festival will be at the CHI Health Center in Omaha on Saturday, July 15. The celebration will begin shortly after the conclusion of the Pride Parade downtown —doors will open around noon. The festival will feature dozens of LGBTQIA+-friendly vendors and local artisans, an 18+ area, food, beverages, a star-studded entertainment lineup, and much more!
JULY 22: PRIDE STORY HOUR | 10:30 a.m. at Urban Abbey
Adding a little pizzazz and sparkle to your favorite past time...STORY HOUR!
Join a very special PRIDE-themed story hour presented by your favorite local queens. This event is a way to bring children, families and Queens together for a playful hour of celebration, imagination, learning and fun.
