ABOUT
Dylan Oakes Rohde founded Backline in 2011 teaching improv classes in the basement of a small art gallery. Now he travels the country (and the world) teaching improv, is a junkie for karaoke, and even founded and helps run the Omaha Comedy Fest, which has been going on for 11 years! Today, the Backline Comedy Club offers a variety of comedy shows including improv, standup, sketch, and musical acts. They also offer comedy classes, a full bar, and you can even book private events at their venue. Located downtown near the Old Market and Gene Leahy Mall, plus a number of great bars, this is a great starting spot for a date night or night with friends where you can hit up a few different things all within walking distance!
CLASSES
Whether you’re looking to become a professional comedian or just add some fun to your week and gain some new friends, there are classes for you at Backline. They have intro to improv classes, ones that focus on musical improv, communicating in large groups, acting & relationships, and more! Not only will you have more fun every week and laugh a bunch, but you'll gain new friends and make great memories. Former students of Backline Comedy Classes have gone on to star in a show on HBO, get elected as State Senator, and a bunch of awesome things in between!
SEASON PASSES Did you know you can purchase a season pass to the Backline Comedy Club? This pass allows you to pay one price and see all the comedy you can in a full year!
