Take a day trip out to Indian Cave State Park and the town of Brownville, NE!
INDIAN CAVE STATE PARK
Indian Cave State Park is about 1.5 hours outside of Omaha and is the perfect nature getaway for a little day trip! The park is named for the large sandstone cave inside of its 3,052 acres bordering the Missouri River.
A great place for hiking, biking, camping, and picnicking, there are over 22 miles of trails with beautiful sweeping views of the river and a lush forest.
Plus, every October, the park hosts a Haunted Hollow, where visitors can enjoy the fall season with hayrack rides, spooky campsite decorating contests, games, crafts, and other family-friendly activities.
BROWNVILLE
While you're outside of Omaha, we'd suggest taking a pit stop in Brownville! A number of cute shops, restaurants, and museums dot the small town.
Stop into...
Gospel Coffee
Lone Tree Saloon
Bird's Nest Trading Post
New Earth Clay
Whiskey Run Creek Vineyard
& a lot more shops and restaurants!
Have you ever been to either of these areas in Nebraska? I had such a great time exploring somewhere outside of Omaha!
