THE CANDLES
With over 90 scents to choose from, there really are endless, unique scent combinations! Hand-poured, soy candles are available pre-made or in custom, DIY combinations. The scents rotate with the seasons so you're always guaranteed to find something you love!
THE PROCESS
Sure, you could walk in, buy a candle, and leave, but you would be missing out on the specific charm of Dundee Candle Co. You'll start off by smelling as many scents as you can and making note of your favorites. I wrote about 18 favorites on my card, and then the worker went through them and marked which groups of three scents would work well together. I ended up choosing the Bordeaux, Chardonnay and Honey Crisp for my candle scent, and the Bordeaux, Fig and Georgia Peach for my sugar scrub!
After you pick the scents you'll pour them yourself into the oil mixer, and pour the mixed oil directly into the melted candle wax! For my sugar scrub I did the same process of mixing the oils, and then I got to mix it into the sugar myself.
HOURS AND LOCATION
Dundee Candle is tucked into the heart of Dundee, on Underwood, next to the bank. Visit Tuesday-Thursday from 11 am-5 pm, Friday-Saturday from 11 am-7 pm, and Sunday from 12-5 pm. The store is also available for private parties. Contact them for more information. Reservations are not required but are encouraged, especially for groups.
