Gather is a restaurant and bar in the Old Market with delicious food, cocktails, and a vertical garden in the basement.
ABOUT
Gather is one of those restaurants that I can only describe as a culinary experience, not just a meal. The food is not only delicious, but they hand pick a bunch of their produce, greens, and herbs from their on-site vertical garden located in their basement (find the full list of "what's growing" on their website). Make sure you head to the basement during your visit to catch a glimpse of it! They also have an art gallery throughout the restaurant featuring local artist @watiewhite and all the art is available for purchase. The first Gather was opened in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and they opened the Omaha location in September 2021.
FOOD & DRINK
Honestly you can't go wrong with anything on Gather's menu. For an appetizer we got the Mediterranean Burrata Cheese which had Fig Jam, Basil Hummus, Mediterranean Vegetable Salad, and Turmeric Grilled Naan. Entrees were the Pork Shank and Truffle Pasta made with homemade noodles. For dessert we ended with some Jackson Donut Holes!
They have a huge list of cocktails, wine, beer, and liquor to choose from. We tried the Caliente Wey which has Jalapeno Infused Tequila, Blackberry Puree, House Limeade, plus the The Becky which has Prosecco, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Grapefruit, and Basil from the urban farm downstairs!
