ABOUT
Pause Coffee Shop is a new coffee shop that opened last year in Ralston. They offer delicious coffee (both hot and iced) provided by local roaster “A Hill of Beans,” as well as smoothies, bagels and other assorted treats. They also partner with local artists, activists, non-profits, and other community-forward change makers to foster a culture of inclusivity, especially for those with different abilities. They have a rotating calendar of featured artists, makers, crafters, and writers, and Pause puts this all together free of commissions and charges, simply for the love of inclusivity.
THEIR STORY Not only do they have delicious coffee, but Pause Omaha offers an amazing and inspirational message that brings such a lovely atmosphere to the space. “Be good. Do good.” is their motto. Their mission is to provide a safe, inclusive space for all. Pause is locally and family owned by Kelly and her 3 children. Matthew, the oldest, has Prader-Willi Syndrome, and according to Kelly: “finding employment for a social guy with special needs and accommodations hasn’t been easy, nearly non-existent actually. We are here to change this for Matthew and others like him.” Their story is so inspirational, and we encourage you to read about it on their website! LOCATION & HOURS Pause Coffee Shop is located in Ralson at 7515 Main St, and is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 8am to 2pm, and is closed on Mondays.
