ABOUT The Salted Edge is a high-end dining experience with a menu consisting of locally sourced food options at some of the best quality in the area, as well as an awesome wine selection and both indoor and outdoor patio seating. Just west of 243rd and Dodge in Waterloo, the Salted Edge overlooks West Shores Lake and offers an absolutely beautiful golden hour ambiance and a remarkable view during sunset.
MEET THE CHEF
Chef Joel Hassanali’s passion for food is rooted in his experience traveling, exploring, and cooking exquisite cuisine from all over the world. Born in Trinidad, Joel’s love of cooking stemmed from watching and helping his parents run a restaurant in the Caribbean. He moved to the U.S. when he was 11 and grew up around the incredible food scene in New York. He studied culinary arts and traveled the country, working under some of the best celebrity chefs in the nation, such as Chef Emeril Lagasse and Chef Sherry Yard! He made his way to Omaha and
spent a year doing research and development for a local restaurant. Thus, the Salted Edge was born!
MENU The Salted Edge is a must-have for drinks, a great meal, shared appetizers, or small bites. They have options from the classic burger and a beer to chef-driven dining and wine pairings. There are top of the line steaks, brick oven pizzas, an extensive cocktail menu, soups & salads, and pretty much anything else your taste buds might desire. LOCATION & HOURS The Salted Edge is located in Waterloo at 110 S 243rd Street, just off West Dodge Road. They are open on Tuesdays through Thursdays from 5pm to 10pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm to 11pm, and Sundays from 5pm to 10pm as well. The Salted Edge is closed on Mondays.
