There is a popular southern restaurant that has made its way to downtown Omaha! Scattered with locations all over the U.S., Tupelo Honey specializes in brunch, lunch, and dinner comfort foods. The newly renovated Gene Leahy mall is right around the corner, with a great view of the Omaha Riverfront. The interior is characterized by high ceilings, walls painted with big windows, abundant greenery, and a classy bar featuring high-top tables, as well as regular tables and booths. They also have a super cool patio for the warmer weather coming up.
MENU The menu at Tupelo Honey highlights predominantly Southern comfort cuisine with a brunch focus, showcasing chicken and waffles as its standout dish, and it was absolutely worth the hype! We also tried the shrimp and grits as well as a few other entrees and they all depicted the classic Southern vibe perfectly. Despite grits not being a popular menu item in the Midwest, Tupelo curated the beloved southern dish in a way that made us want to try more! Due to the newness of this location, we highly recommend making reservations for your visit to allow for a timely experience. LOCATION & HOURS Tupelo Honey is located at 830 Harney Street and is open Sundays through Thursdays from 11am to 9pm, Fridays from 11am to 10pm, and Saturdays from 10am to 10pm.
